Eligibility Criteria
Assistant / Upper Division Clerk (Post No. 1, 3, 5)
- Graduation with a minimum of 60% marks, or CGPA of 6.32 on a 10-point scale, from any recognised University.
- Graduation must have been completed within the minimum stipulated duration of the course as prescribed by the University.
- Proficiency in the use of computers.
Junior Personal Assistant / Stenographer (Post No. 2, 4, 6)
- Graduation with a minimum of 60% marks or CGPA of 6.32, completed within the minimum stipulated duration; OR
- Diploma in Commercial/Secretarial Practice with a minimum of 60% marks or CGPA of 6.32, completed within the minimum stipulated duration, plus one year of experience as Steno-Typist/Stenographer.
- A minimum speed of 60 w.p.m. in English Shorthand/Stenography.
- Proficiency in the use of computers.
Candidates holding a Diploma in Commercial Practice (DCP) or Diploma in Commercial and Computer Practice (DCCP) with an Apprenticeship Training Certificate from the Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT/NATS) may count it as equivalent to one year of Steno-Typist/Stenographer experience.
CGPA / Percentage Reckoning Rules (Read Carefully)
- Where the Degree Certificate or Consolidated Mark-sheet mentions both CGPA and percentage, at least one of the two must meet ISRO/DOS norms.
- Where only CGPA is mentioned, the CGPA itself must meet the criteria — conversion of CGPA to percentage is not permitted, regardless of any conversion formula prescribed by the University.
- For Dual/Integrated Degree Programmes, if figures for Graduation and Post-Graduation are shown separately, the Graduation-level figure is reckoned.
- If a common CGPA/percentage is given for the entire Dual/Integrated Degree course, that combined figure is used.
- Where no formula is prescribed for a Dual/Integrated Degree, the cumulative figure on the Final/Consolidated Mark Sheet applies.
