ISRO VSSC Apprentice Recruitment 2026 – Walk-in for 460 Graduate & Technician Apprentice Posts

Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), ISRO, Thiruvananthapuram has invited applications for Apprentice Trainees for the training year 2026–27, offering 460 total positions — 273 Graduate Apprentice and 187 Technician Apprentice posts. Vacancy Details

Graduate Apprentice vacancies span Aeronautical/Aerospace, Chemical, Civil, Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Metallurgy, Production and Fire & Safety Engineering, Hotel Management, and 100 General Stream (Non-Engineering) posts. Technician Apprentice vacancies cover Automobile, Chemical, Civil, Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics, Instrument Technology, Mechanical Engineering, and Commercial Practice diplomas.

Eligibility Criteria

• Graduate Apprentice (Engineering): Engineering degree with not less than 65% marks or 6.84 CGPA.
• Hotel Management/Catering: First Class degree with not less than 60% marks.
• General Stream (Non-Engineering): Bachelor’s degree (3-year) with not less than 60% marks or 6.32 CGPA.
• Technician Apprentice (Engineering Diploma): First Class 3-year Diploma in Engineering from a State Board of Technical Education.
• Diploma in Commercial Practice: 3-year diploma with not less than 6.32 CGPA.

Only Indian nationals are eligible. Candidates who have already undergone/are undergoing apprenticeship training, or who have one year or more of experience, are not eligible. Candidates who completed five years from the year of passing are also not eligible.

Age Limit (as on 31 July 2026)

Graduate Apprentice: 28 years (UR); Technician Apprentice (Diploma in Engg): 30 years (UR); Technician Apprentice (Commercial Practice): 26 years (UR). Age relaxation is applicable for OBC (3 years), SC/ST (5 years) and PwBD candidates as per rules.

Application Fee

There is no application fee, as this is a walk-in selection drive rather than an online application process.

Selection Process

• Document Scrutiny at the venue (original + self-attested copies)
• Application Form submission on the spot
• Merit-based selection on marks in the qualifying examination
• Panel formation and NATS 2.0 registration for selected apprentices

How to Apply for VSSC Apprentice Recruitment 2026

1. Visit the VSSC selection drive venue on 25 July 2026 at Karthika Thirunal Govt V&GHSS for Girls, Manacaud, Thiruvananthapuram, between 9:30 AM and 5:00 PM.
2. Carry original documents and self-attested copies of all required certificates.
3. Undergo document scrutiny by VSSC officials at the venue.
4. Collect and fill the application form provided on the spot.
5. Submit the duly filled form along with certificate copies to VSSC officials.
