Salary & Benefits
PCS posts carry Level 10 pay (₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500) with DA, HRA, medical coverage, travel allowance, NPS, and group insurance. Selected candidates get Class-II Gazetted Officer status with clear promotion paths up to Level 15.
Exam Pattern
- Prelims: Paper I General Studies (150 Q, 200 marks) + Paper II CSAT (100 Q, 200 marks, qualifying – 33% required); 1/3rd negative marking.
- Mains: 8 descriptive papers totalling 1500 marks (General Hindi, Essay, GS I–VI including UP-specific papers).
- Interview / Personality Test: 100 marks.
