SSC CHSL Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online for 2536 LDC, JSA & DEO Posts

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the SSC CHSL Recruitment 2026 Notification for approximately 2,536 tentative vacancies for Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), Data Entry Operator (DEO) and DEO Grade ‘A’ posts.

Eligible candidates who have passed Class 12th can apply online from 07 September 2026 to 07 October 2026. The recruitment will be conducted through the SSC CHSL Tier-I and Tier-II examinations.

Experience is NOT required for SSC CHSL Recruitment 2026. Candidates need to meet the prescribed educational and age requirements.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • LDC/JSA: 12th Standard pass or equivalent from a recognised Board.
  • DEO/DEO Grade ‘A’: 12th Standard pass from a recognised Board.
  • For certain specified DEO posts, 12th Science stream with Mathematics is mandatory.
  • Candidates awaiting Class 12 results can apply only if their qualifying result is declared by 07 October 2026.

Age Limit

The age should be 18 to 27 years as on 01 August 2026.

Age relaxation is applicable as per Government of India rules for eligible SC/ST, OBC, PwBD, ESM and other categories.

SSC CHSL Salary

Selected candidates will receive salary according to the applicable Pay Level:

  • LDC/JSA: Pay Level-2 – ₹19,900 to ₹63,200
  • DEO: Pay Level-4/5 – ₹25,500 to ₹92,300
  • DEO Grade ‘A’: Pay Level-4 – ₹25,500 to ₹81,100

Selection Process

The SSC CHSL selection process consists of:

  1. Tier-I Computer Based Examination
  2. Tier-II Computer Based Examination
  3. Computer Knowledge Test
  4. Skill Test/Typing Test, as applicable
  5. Document Verification

Tier-I contains English, General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude and General Awareness sections with negative marking.
