Experience & Apprenticeship Important
Experience is important for eligibility. Candidates who have already completed apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act, 1961, or who have job experience of one year or more, are not eligible to apply.

OPTCL Apprentice Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess the required qualification for the respective trade/discipline:
- Degree Electrical: BE/B.Tech in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics Engineering
- Degree IT: BE/B.Tech in Computer Science/Information Technology
- Degree Telecom: Relevant Electronics/Telecommunication/Communication engineering qualification
- HR: MBA (HR), MSW or relevant PG qualification
- Finance: M.Com or B.Com with Intermediate CMA, as prescribed
- Law: LLB/LLM
- Diploma: Diploma in Electrical, Civil or Telecom-related engineering
- ITI: ITI in Electrician or Electronics Mechanic Trade
Candidates must be Indian nationals belonging to Odisha and must be at least 18 years old as on 01 August 2026.
Candidates who are currently appearing for the required qualification are not eligible. The prescribed qualification must have been completed within the eligibility period specified by OPTCL.
OPTCL Apprentice Stipend
Selected apprentices will receive the following monthly stipend:
