Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Finance & Accounts Officer/Treasury Officer: Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Business Administration or Economics, or prescribed Bachelor’s qualification with Statistics/Mathematics.
- Sub-Treasury Officer: Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce/Business Administration or prescribed qualification with Economics/Statistics.
- Assistant Director (Prosecution): LLB with minimum 7 years of active criminal court practice, or prescribed Magistrate experience.
- Assistant Public Prosecutor: LLB with minimum 7 years of criminal law practice.
Experience Important
Experience is mandatory for the prosecution posts. Candidates applying for Assistant Director (Prosecution) and Assistant Public Prosecutor must have the prescribed 7 years of criminal law practice and submit the required experience certificate with the application.
For Finance and Treasury posts, the prescribed educational qualification is the key eligibility requirement.
Other Eligibility
Candidates must be Indian citizens and meet the prescribed Arunachal Pradesh Permanent Resident, APST and indigenous tribal language requirements.
Age Limit
The age should generally be 21 to 35 years as on 12 October 2026. Relaxation is available for eligible APST, PwBD and government employee categories as per the rules.
Selection Process
Selection will be based on:
Written Examination + Viva-Voce
The written examination carries 450 marks, followed by a 50-mark Viva-Voce, making the total 500 marks.
If applications exceed the prescribed ratio, APPSC may conduct a 200-mark Recruitment Test as a screening test. Screening-test marks will not be counted in final merit.
