Jharkhand TET (JHTET) 2026 – Online Form for Primary & Upper Primary Teachers

The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC), Ranchi, has released the notification and extended the deadline for the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JHTET) 2026. This state-level exam decides eligibility for Primary (Classes 1–5) and Upper Primary (Classes 6–8) teaching posts in government schools across Jharkhand. Candidates can apply online up to 20 July 2026.

Minimum 21 years; no upper age limit. Relaxations apply as per JAC rules.

Eligibility Details

Paper Level Eligibility
Paper I Primary (Class 1–5) 10+2 with 50% + D.El.Ed / B.El.Ed, OR graduation with D.El.Ed. B.Ed holders are NOT eligible for Paper I.
Paper II Upper Primary (Class 6–8) Graduation / Post Graduation with 50% + B.Ed, OR graduation with D.El.Ed, OR 10+2 with 50% + 4-year integrated B.Ed. Subject-specific rules apply.

Salary & Pay Scale

  • Primary Teacher (Paper I): Level 4 – ₹25,500 to ₹81,100.
  • Upper Primary Teacher (Paper II): Level 5 – ₹29,200 to ₹92,300.

Plus DA, HRA, TA, medical allowance, and pension/EPF as per Jharkhand Government rules.

Exam Pattern

  • Mode: Offline OMR | Questions: 150 per paper | Marks: 150 | Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes | No negative marking; bilingual.
  • Paper I: CDP, Language I, Language II, Mathematics, EVS (30 marks each).
  • Paper II: CDP, Language I, Language II (30 each) + Subject Specialisation (60 marks).

  1. Visit the official JHTET portal at jactetonline.com.
  2. Register with your email and mobile number, then log in.
  3. Select Paper I, Paper II, or both, and fill in your details.
  4. Upload your photograph, signature, and documents.
  5. Pay the application fee online.
  6. Submit the form and download a printout.
