Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Bongaigaon Refinery has released the IOCL Bongaigaon Apprentice Recruitment 2026 notification under Advertisement No. BGR/Appr/2026/04 for 58 Trade and Technician Apprentice posts.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have the prescribed regular full-time B.Sc or Diploma qualification in the relevant discipline.

  • Code 101 & 103: 3-year B.Sc in Maths, Physics, Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry.
  • Code 107: 3-year Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering / Instrumentation & Electronics / Instrumentation & Control Engineering / Applied Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering.
  • Minimum marks: 50% for general candidates and 45% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates against reserved seats.

Age Limit

Candidates must be between 18 and 24 years as on 30 September 2026. Relaxation is applicable for SC/ST, OBC-NCL and PwBD candidates as per government rules.

Experience – Important

EXPERIENCE IMPORTANT: Candidates having one year or more of post-qualification job experience are not eligible for this apprenticeship.

Candidates who have already completed an apprenticeship must also satisfy the prescribed waiting period and other conditions mentioned in the notification.

Other Conditions

  • Candidates awaiting their qualifying examination results are not eligible.
  • Part-time, correspondence and distance-mode qualifications are not accepted.
  • Candidates with higher professional qualifications such as B.E./B.Tech, MBA, CA, LLB, MCA or equivalent are not eligible.
  • A B.Sc candidate can apply for only one code – 101 or 103.
  • Apprenticeship engagement is subject to document verification and medical fitness.

Selection Process

There is no written examination for this recruitment.

Selection will be based on merit in the prescribed qualifying examination. Shortlisted candidates will be called for:

  1. Document Verification
  2. Pre-Engagement Medical Examination
  3. Final engagement

Candidates with higher marks will be placed higher in the merit list, subject to the applicable reservation and eligibility rules.

Salary / Stipend

The apprenticeship stipend will be paid as prescribed under the Apprentices Act, Apprenticeship Rules and IOCL guidelines. The exact monthly stipend amount is not specified in the notification.
