Eligibility Criteria
Candidates should:
- Be a citizen of India or an eligible subject of Nepal as per Government of India instructions.
- Hold a graduation degree from a recognised university.
- Meet the prescribed English shorthand and typing speed.
- Have good working knowledge of computers.
- Fulfil the prescribed age requirements.
Age Limit
The standard age limit is 18 to 32 years as on 01 January 2026. Relaxation is available for eligible SC/ST, OBC-NCL, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen and other categories as per the notification.
Experience
Work experience is not separately prescribed as an eligibility requirement. However, candidates must satisfy the required educational, shorthand, typing and computer-skill conditions.
Selection Process
The selection process consists of:
- English Typing Test – Qualifying
- English Shorthand Test
- Main Descriptive Examination
- Interview
For SPA, the shorthand speed is 110 w.p.m., while for PA it is 100 w.p.m. The typing requirement for both posts is 40 w.p.m.
