The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor (Neonatology) Recruitment 2026 Notification under the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India.
Through this recruitment drive, UPSC will recruit 13 permanent Group ‘A’ Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor (Neonatology) posts under the Central Health Service (CHS). Educational Qualification
Applicants should possess:
- A recognized MBBS Degree included under the National Medical Commission (NMC)/Medical Council of India (MCI).
Along with any one of the following qualifications:
- DM (Neonatology)
- DNB (Neonatology)
- MD (Paediatrics) with 2 years Special Training in Neonatology
- DNB (Paediatrics) with 2 years Special Training in Neonatology
Teaching Experience
Applicants must possess:
- Minimum 3 years teaching experience as:
- Senior Resident
- Tutor
- Demonstrator
- Registrar
- Assistant Professor
- Lecturer
The teaching experience must be obtained after acquiring the first postgraduate degree.
Important: Experience as a General Duty Medical Officer or Medical Officer will not be considered for eligibility.
