Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Anganwadi Worker:
- 12th Pass; or
- 10th Pass with an AICTE-recognised diploma of at least two years.
Anganwadi Helper:
- Minimum 10th Pass.
Age Limit
- General applicants: 18 to 33 years.
- Existing Anganwadi Helpers applying for Worker posts: maximum 43 years, subject to applicable rules.
Local Residence
The applicant must be an eligible Indian woman and satisfy the prescribed local-residence requirement.
For a rural Anganwadi centre, the candidate must generally be a resident of the revenue village where the centre is located. The prescribed residence certificate issued by the concerned Mamlatdar must be submitted.
Experience
No previous work experience is required for fresh applicants. Existing Anganwadi Helpers applying for Worker posts will be governed by the applicable preference and eligibility rules.
Selection Process
Selection will be based on a merit list prepared according to the applicable Gujarat Women and Child Development Department rules. Educational qualifications and prescribed marks will be considered.
