Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess (i) a Diploma in Horticulture obtained from a Polytechnic of any Agriculture/Horticulture University incorporated under the Central or State Agriculture/Horticulture Universities Act in India; (ii) basic knowledge of computer applications as prescribed under the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967; and (iii) adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 33 years as on 21 July 2026. Age relaxation is applicable as per rules — e.g., 5 years for reserved-category candidates, additional relaxation for women, PwD (up to a maximum of 45 years) and Ex-Servicemen.
Pay Scale
Selected candidates will be appointed on a fixed pay of ₹40,800 per month for the first five years. After satisfactory completion of five years, they become eligible for the regular 7th Pay Commission scale of ₹29,200 – ₹92,300 (Pay Level-5), subject to applicable conditions.
Selection Process & Exam Pattern
Selection is through a single-stage, objective-type (MCQ) competitive examination conducted via CBRT/OMR. The paper has two parts:

Total duration is 3 hours (180 minutes). There is negative marking of 1/4 mark for each wrong answer. The minimum qualifying standard is 40% each in Part-A and Part-B separately.

- Go to “Online Application” → Apply, and select GSSSB.

- Upload your photograph and signature in the prescribed format.
- Confirm the application to generate the Confirmation Number, then pay the fee online by 24 July 2026.
