The Defence Electronics Applications Laboratory (DEAL), Dehradun — a premier laboratory of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Ministry of Defence — has released a notification for engagement of 77 Graduate, Diploma and ITI Apprentices for the 2026-27 training session. Eligible candidates can apply online from 23 June 2026 to 22 July 2026 through the NATS 2.0 / NAPS portals. There is no application fee. Educational Qualification: Graduate Apprentice — BE/B.Tech or equivalent with 60% marks in the relevant engineering discipline. Diploma Apprentice — relevant Diploma in Engineering with 60% marks. ITI Apprentice — passed the relevant trade from a recognised ITI with an NCVT/SCVT certificate. Age Limit: Candidates must be at least 18 years of age. Candidates who have already completed apprenticeship training or have prescribed job experience are not eligible as per the Apprentices Act.
Selection Process
Selection is based on merit in the qualifying examination (percentage of marks in the essential qualification), followed by document verification. There is no written test for apprentice engagement.
