Canara Bank has released the Canara Bank Graduate Apprentice Recruitment 2026 notification for 3,500 Graduate Apprentice training seats under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for FY 2026-27.

Eligible candidates with a Degree in any discipline can apply online from 01 October 2026 to 17 October 2026. Candidates must also register on the NATS apprenticeship portal with a 100% complete profile before applying through the Bank’s recruitment portal.

IMPORTANT: This is an apprenticeship training opportunity, not a regular permanent Canara Bank job. Candidates must also meet the prescribed graduation passing window, age, local-language and other eligibility conditions.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have a Degree/Graduation in any discipline from a recognised university/institution.

The graduation must have been completed:

  • Not earlier than 01 January 2023
  • Not later than 01 September 2026

Age Limit

The candidate must be between 20 and 28 years as on 01 September 2026.

Age relaxation is applicable as per the prescribed Government rules for eligible reserved categories.

Experience – Important

There is no separate work-experience requirement for the apprenticeship. However, candidates who have already undergone apprenticeship training or have one year or more of job experience after completing their educational qualification are not eligible as per the stated conditions.

Local Language

Candidates must satisfy the local-language requirement of the State they select. Candidates who studied the relevant local language in 10th or 12th standard can generally use the corresponding mark sheet/certificate as proof; otherwise, a local-language test may be conducted during document verification.

NATS Registration

Candidates must have a 100% complete profile on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal before applying for the Canara Bank apprenticeship.

Canara Bank Apprentice Stipend

The apprenticeship carries a monthly stipend of ₹16,650.

  • Canara Bank contribution: ₹10,500 per month
  • Government subsidy: ₹6,150 per month, credited through DBT as per applicable guidelines

Apprentices are not regular employees of Canara Bank and are not entitled to regular employee allowances or benefits.
