Bank of India (BOI), one of India’s leading Public Sector Banks, has released the Credit Officer (General Banking Officer – GBO Stream) Recruitment 2026 notification under Project No. 2026-27/01. The recruitment drive aims to fill 779 Credit Officer vacancies across MMGS-II, MMGS-III, and SMGS-IV scales.
Eligible candidates possessing the required educational qualifications and relevant banking or credit experience can apply online from 30 June 2026 to 20 July 2026 through the official Bank of India recruitment portal. Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for the Bank of India Credit Officer Recruitment 2026 must satisfy all eligibility conditions mentioned in the official notification.
Educational Qualification
Applicants should possess any of the following as applicable for the respective Credit Officer scale:
- Graduation from a recognized University.
- Post Graduation in relevant discipline.
- Professional qualifications prescribed in Annexure-I.
- Reserved category candidates receive 5% relaxation wherever 60% marks are required.
Age Limit (As on 01 June 2026)
- MMGS-II: 25–32 Years
- MMGS-III: 28–38 Years
- SMGS-IV: 32–45 Years
Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per Government of India rules.
Experience
Candidates must possess relevant Banking / Credit experience according to the post and scale applied for.
Important: Experience requirements vary for MMGS-II, MMGS-III and SMGS-IV posts. Candidates should carefully check Annexure-I of the official notification before applying.
