Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must fulfill these requirements:
- Must be an Indian citizen.
- Must be a permanent resident of Assam.
- Must have passed HSSLC (Class 12) in Science stream with Biology as one of the subjects.
- A valid Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) of Assam is required.
- Minimum age is 18 years and maximum age is 40 years as on 01 January 2026.
- Age relaxation is applicable to eligible reserved categories as per government rules.
- Candidates applying under reservation categories must possess the required certificates issued by the competent Assam authority.
Assam VFA Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
Selection for Veterinary Field Assistant posts will be through an OMR-based written examination.
The test will carry 100 marks with 100 questions and a duration of 120 minutes:
- Biology – 40 marks
- Chemistry – 20 marks
- Physics – 20 marks
- General Awareness – 20 marks
Selected candidates must also complete one year of mandatory training in Elementary Knowledge of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science before appointment.
