The Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (MPESB), Bhopal has released the MPESB Naib Tehsildar Recruitment 2026 notification for 73 Naib Tehsildar posts.
This is a Departmental Limited Competitive Examination, so it is not open to the general public. The recruitment is only for eligible serving employees of specified Madhya Pradesh Revenue Department establishments, including eligible employees from the Clerical Service Cadre and Patwari/Revenue Inspector Cadre.
The online application process will start on 17 September 2026 and the last date to apply is 01 October 2026.
Experience is Mandatory
Candidates must have at least 5 years of regular/officiating service in the prescribed clerical cadre or as a Patwari/Revenue Inspector in the eligible Revenue Department establishments.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must fulfill all the prescribed conditions:
- Must be a serving eligible employee of the specified Madhya Pradesh Revenue Department establishments.
- Must have at least 5 years of regular/officiating service in the prescribed clerical cadre or as a Patwari/Revenue Inspector.
- Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts, Science, Commerce, Agriculture or prescribed Technical/Engineering qualification from a recognized university.
- Maximum age should not exceed 55 years as on 01 January 2026.
- A candidate can appear under this recruitment scheme a maximum of three times.
- The required qualification must be possessed on the date of application.
Experience Requirement – Important
5 years of prescribed departmental service is mandatory. This recruitment is specifically designed for eligible serving employees, and candidates from outside the specified departmental cadres cannot apply.
Selection Process
The selection will be based on a written Computer Based Test (CBT) consisting of two papers.
- Paper I – General subjects: 100 marks, 2 hours
- Paper II – Revenue and Government service-related subjects: 100 marks, 2 hours
- Total: 200 Marks
- Negative marking: 0.25 mark for each wrong answer
- Minimum qualifying marks: 55%
- SC/ST candidates: 40%
- Normalisation may be used for multi-shift examinations.
MPESB Naib Tehsildar Salary
Selected candidates will be appointed at Pay Level-9 with a pay scale of ₹36,200 to ₹1,14,800, plus applicable allowances as per Madhya Pradesh Government rules.
