Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Level-2: 12th with minimum 50% marks or 10th + ITI/NAC, as applicable.
- Level-1: 10th / ITI / equivalent qualification and NAC where prescribed.
- Candidates must also fulfil the prescribed Scouts & Guides qualification.
Scouts & Guides Qualification
Candidates should possess the required Scouts & Guides credentials, including:
- President Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger or Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB).
- Active membership of the Scouts organisation for the last 5 years.
- Participation in prescribed National/All India Railway and State-level events.
Experience / Scouts & Guides Requirement is Important
This recruitment is specifically under the Scouts & Guides Quota. Educational qualification alone is not sufficient. Candidates must fulfil the prescribed Scouts & Guides experience, membership and event participation requirements.
Age Limit
- Level-2: 18 to 30 years
- Level-1: 18 to 33 years
- Relaxation applicable as per Railway/Government rules.
Salary
Selected candidates will be placed under the applicable Railway pay levels:
- Level-2: Pay Level-2
- Level-1: Pay Level-1
Other allowances will be admissible as per Railway rules.

The written test carries 60 marks, while Scouts & Guides certificates carry 40 marks.
