Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess a recognised MBBS qualification and permanent registration with MCI/NMC/State Medical Council.
- Medical Officer: MBBS + compulsory rotating internship.
- Specialist Medical Officer: MBBS + relevant PG Degree/Diploma with prescribed experience.
- Super Specialist Medical Officer: MBBS + relevant PG qualification + DM/M.Ch. or equivalent with prescribed experience.
Experience – Important
Experience is a key eligibility requirement for Specialist and Super Specialist posts.
- Specialist Medical Officer: 1.5 years’ experience after PG Degree or 2.5 years after PG Diploma in the concerned specialty.
- Super Specialist Medical Officer: 3 years’ experience in the concerned super-specialty after the first PG degree, with Senior Residency experience also counted as specified in the notification.
- Medical Officer posts do not require the above specialist-level experience.
Age Limit
- Super Specialist Medical Officer: Maximum 50 years
- Specialist Medical Officer: Maximum 40 years
- Medical Officer: Maximum 30 years
Age relaxation is applicable to eligible reserved and specified categories as per Government rules.
