Application Fee
The application fee is generally ₹500/- for UR/OBC candidates and ₹250/- for SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/Women/PwBD/Minorities/EBC candidates, refundable as per railway rules on appearing for the trial/assessment. Refer to the official notification for the exact category-wise fee.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: Depending on the pay level of the post — Matriculation (Class 10) / ITI for Level-1 posts, and Class 12 (10+2) / Degree for higher Level (2 to 5) posts, as specified in the notification. Sports Eligibility: Candidates must have represented at recognised sporting events (International / National / Inter-University / Senior or Junior National championships, etc.) with the prescribed minimum standard of achievement. Age Limit: 18 to 25 years as on 01 January 2027 (candidates born between 01 January 2002 and 01 January 2009, both dates inclusive).
Selection Process
Selection is based on assessment of sports achievements (as per the marking system for different sports and levels of participation), followed by trials where applicable and document verification. There is no written examination.
