Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates should have a full-time Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering along with the prescribed relevant Master’s Degree in areas such as:
- Marine Engineering & Management
- Ocean Structures/Engineering
- Structural Engineering
- Coastal Engineering
- Other equivalent qualifications as specified in the notification.
Experience – Important
- Senior Manager: Minimum 8 years relevant post-qualification experience, including at least 5 years in marine/coastal structural design.
- Assistant Manager – Ports & Waterways: Minimum 2 years relevant experience in marine structure design/analysis.
- Assistant Manager – Coastal Modelling: Minimum 2 years relevant experience in coastal/ocean engineering or numerical modelling.
Training, internship, teaching, academic, fellowship and PhD research experience are generally not counted as qualifying experience as per the notification.
Age Limit
The upper age limit as on 08 October 2026 is:
- Senior Manager – 38 years
- Assistant Manager – 32 years
Age relaxation is applicable to eligible reserved categories and other specified candidates as per RITES rules.
Salary
- Senior Manager: ₹60,000 – ₹1,80,000
- Assistant Manager: ₹40,000 – ₹1,40,000

Selection Process
The selection process consists of:

The written test will contain 125 objective questions with no negative marking. The final selection weightage is 60% Written Test + 40% Interview.
