The Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (MPESB) has released the MP Police Subedar Steno ASI Recruitment 2026 notification for 655 posts of Subedar (Ministerial) Stenographer and Assistant Sub-Inspector (Ministerial) under the Madhya Pradesh Police Department.
Both male and female candidates can apply online from 24 September 2026 to 8 October 2026. The first-stage online examination will begin from 3 November 2026.
EXPERIENCE / ELIGIBILITY IMPORTANT: Candidates must possess the prescribed 12th qualification, CPCT certificate with Hindi typing and required computer qualification. Subedar Stenographer candidates must also have the prescribed Hindi shorthand qualification at 100 words per minute.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Subedar (Ministerial) Stenographer:
- 12th/10+2 pass from a recognized board.
- Hindi shorthand qualification at 100 words per minute.
- Valid CPCT certificate with Hindi typing.
- Prescribed computer qualification.
Assistant Sub-Inspector (Ministerial):
- 12th/10+2 pass.
- Valid CPCT certificate with Hindi typing.
- Approved computer/IT degree, diploma or certificate.
Accepted computer qualifications include BCA, MCA, relevant engineering qualifications, M.Sc. Computer Science/IT, approved diploma and other qualifications specified in the notification.
Age Limit
The age is calculated as on 8 October 2026. The maximum age varies according to category and eligibility, generally 33, 38 or 43 years.
Candidates from other states can apply against open unreserved vacancies, while MP domicile candidates can receive applicable reservation and age benefits as per government rules.
Salary
- Subedar (Ministerial) Stenographer: ₹36,200 – ₹1,14,800
- Assistant Sub-Inspector (Ministerial): ₹19,500 – ₹62,000
During the initial three years, salary is payable at the applicable percentage of minimum pay as per Madhya Pradesh Government rules.
