Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates should have passed 10th Class/Matriculation from a recognized Board.
Serving Special Police Officers (SPOs) with at least 3 years of continuous engagement could be eligible with an 8th Pass qualification, subject to the other conditions in the notification.
Age Limit
The general age limit is 18 to 28 years as on 01 January 2026.
Applicable relaxations include:
- SC/ST/ALC: 5 years
- Serving SPOs with required service: upper age up to 37 years
- Serving VHGs with required service: upper age up to 37 years
- Ex-Servicemen: As per applicable rules
Domicile Requirement
Candidates must possess a valid Ladakh Domicile Certificate. Candidates applying for Border Battalion and Women Battalion vacancies must meet the specified district-wise domicile conditions.
Physical Standards
Male: Minimum height 162 cm; chest 81 cm unexpanded and 85 cm expanded.
Female: Minimum height 152 cm.
The PET includes running, long jump and other prescribed physical activities.
