East Coast Railway (ECoR) has released the GDCE Recruitment 2026 notification for 1,421 posts including Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP), Station Master, Goods Trains Manager, Junior Engineer, Technician, Junior Clerk cum Typist and Commercial Clerk cum Ticket Collector. The online application process starts on 15 August 2026 and ends on 14 September 2026.

Important: This recruitment is only for eligible regular employees of East Coast Railway. RPF/RPSF staff and employees who do not hold a lien in ECoR are not eligible.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must be regular employees of East Coast Railway, including eligible employees of the erstwhile Waltair division/SCoR with lien in ECoR. RPF/RPSF employees are not eligible.

Educational qualifications vary by post. ALP and Technician posts require Matriculation/SSLC with relevant ITI/Apprenticeship or Engineering qualification, while Station Master and Goods Trains Manager require a Degree. JE posts require the relevant Diploma/Degree.

Experience/Service condition is important: this is an internal GDCE examination, not an open-market railway recruitment.

Selection Process

Selection generally includes:

CBT → CBAT/Typing Test (where applicable) → Document Verification → Medical Examination

Negative marking of 1/3 mark applies in the CBT.
